Victoria Evans Memorial Library to host Pi Day Celebration March 14 in Ashburn

ASHBURN, Ga. – Math has never been this fun or this tasty. This Saturday, March 14, the Victoria Evans Memorial Library in Ashburn is inviting families to celebrate Pi Day, the annual 3.14-themed event, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The free, family-friendly celebration is packed with hands-on activities designed for all ages. Guests can build and take home their own “Scribble Bot” robots, create colorful Pi bracelets and crafts, race remote-controlled cars around circular tracks, and contribute to a community art mural. LEGO skyline creations, dot-paint circle art, and other math-inspired projects will keep everyone engaged and exploring the wonders of numbers in creative ways.

Attendees can also enjoy free food while supplies last, including MoonPies from the Ashburn Piggly Wiggly, fresh pies from Calhoun Produce, and circular BBQ sandwiches from Keith-A-Que.

Leading up to the big day, the library has hosted Pi-themed activities throughout March, including storytimes, crafts, and interactive math challenges. Later this afternoon, teens can participate in a Pi-Ku (Pie Haiku) activity and a MoonPie eating contest, adding even more excitement for the upcoming weekend.

The Victoria Evans Memorial Library, located at 605 North Street in Ashburn, is one of just 20 libraries nationwide selected for the Infinite Sums initiative, a program supported by the Simons Foundation. The initiative brings innovative, hands-on math experiences to the community.
