https://www.facebook.com/MattSouthGATV/videos/416612840476205/
The best chance of showers and thunderstorms over the next 7 days is today including a risk of strong to severe thunderstorms.
Main threats include gusty to damaging winds, small hail, torrential downpours that could lead to localized flooding of poor drainage areas, and dangerous lightning.
There will be a rain chance the rest of the week, but becoming more and more isolated.
There is a Heat Advisory in effect until 8 PM. The heat index will peak around 105-108 during peak heating hours, but hopefully will be held down by the coverage of thunderstorms.
The dangerous heat continues the rest of the week! Temperatures in mid-upper 90’s with Heat Index ranging from 105-108 near Heat Advisory criteria from the beginning of the week all the way to Juneteenth & Father’s Day weekend.
It’s important to know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke as temperatures reach dangerous levels.
The heat will be dangerous to those without proper cooling & hydration. Be safe!
