Today’s Weather Authority Forecast: January 24, 2023

Big changes are on the way over the next 12-24 hours! Southerly winds will increase…clouds thicken as a warm front lifts northward overnight.

A wind advisory goes into effect from 1 am-1 pm Wednesday. Gusts could reach as high as 30-45 mph outside of t’storms.


Wednesday’s severe weather threat has increased to a “Slight Risk”.

This includes a 15% chance of damaging wind, 5% chance of flash flooding, & a 5% chance of a tornado (which is higher than past event).

The greatest tornado potential in darker shade of yellow. Also adjusted approximate timing of squall line a bit faster to east.


Additional 1″-3″ of rainfall is expected with this event, which on top of Sunday’s event could result in rises on area rivers and streams.


After a stormy Wednesday…much calmer and colder again the end of the week into the weekend with freeze likely Friday and Saturday mornings.

Unsettled pattern returns by the end of the weekend-early next week.
