Tifton’s Rhythm & Ribs BBQ Festival returns March 6-7

TIFTON, Ga. – Get ready to “smoke out the park”! The Rhythm & Ribs BBQ Festival is back at Fulwood Park in Tifton on Friday, March 6, and Saturday, March 7.

The festival kicks off Friday night from 6-10 p.m. with a lively Kick-Off Party featuring live music from Austin Williams and Kit+Char. Then on Saturday, the fun runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., packed with professional and backyard BBQ competitions, a Cruise-In with Southern Gearheads, vendors, and plenty of family-friendly activities.

One highlight returning this year is the Kids BBQ Competition, giving young grill masters a chance to show off their skills. This year, kids will compete by cooking burgers, with judging handled by the City Chiefs. Participants will compete for the coveted “Chiefs’ Choice” title. The competition is free to enter and takes place Friday, March 6. Families can register online, and organizers encourage early sign-ups.

Kids can also enjoy the KidZone, bounce houses, mini golf, and interactive experiences like the Butterfly Experience, Gelly Ball, and performances by the Disc-Connected K-9s throughout the day on Saturday.

Saturday night wraps up with the festival’s headliner, Diamond Rio, taking the stage at 8:30 p.m. for an evening of music under the South Georgia pines.

Admission is free. For a complete schedule, registration details for the Kids BBQ Competition, and more event information, visit this link. For questions about the kids competition, email Caroline at cabbott@tiftonga.gov or call 229-391-3996.
