The Albany Police Department has a new weapon in their arsenal

ALBANY, Ga. — In a Facebook posting by the Albany Police Department Tuesday, the public was introduced to Cadet Jack. The 2-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer will begin training this week to become a member of a new K9 team. Jack has been recruited to be the next APD bomb-sniffing dog. His future partner, Corporal Larry Jones, will be training with Jack this week. Good luck and stay safe!
