ALBANY,Ga. – The SOWEGA Council on Aging is hosting a free screening of the movie “The Age of Love.”

A documentary that follows the lives of 30 seniors who attend a first-of-its-kind Speed Dating event for 70-90 year olds.

The movie acts as a catalyst for a discussion on loneliness.

ASU partnered with the council and will lead the discussion on addressing that problem in our senior community.

SOWEGA Council on Aging Executive Director Izzie Sadler says, “Its an educational opportunity for us to start a community dialogue about loneliness because we all deal with it no matter our age but it becomes more complex as you age.”

The film will be shown at the Kay H. Hind Senior Life Enrichment center on Feb. 4 at 2 p.m.
