Sumter County officials launch “Mask Up” campaign

(SUMTER COUNTY, GA) – Another Southwest Georgia community is making strides to help get masks to people.

One Sumter Economic Sevelopment, in combination with county officials, is starting the Mask Up Sumter campaign.

Much like the City of Albany, Sumter County is currently working to help get masks to people as well as putting out information about mask giveaways.

Current organizer, Ivy Oliver says that the importance of masking up is still high.

Oliver tells us, “Just because things have been lifted and we’re getting together more, we aren’t out of the woods yet. And that’s kind of the message we want to share. We want to see our numbers continue to go down in other ways.”
