Stephanie Cody announced as Colquitt County’s girls head basketball coach
MOULTRIE, GA – Say hello to Colquitt County’s newest girls head basketball coach Stephanie Cody, the sixth in school history.
Some Packer fans may already recognize her though.
Cody will be replacing Legendary head coach Rhondesha Williams, who has the all-time record for wins with over 300 in 17 seasons, and Cody was right by her side for 14 of those years as the assistant coach.
Now it’s her time to shine and she has already some goals in sight for her Lady Packers.
“I just want to create a culture of competitiveness,” Cody said. “Then that can roll over into life and everything. … I want to have a competitive spirit in all aspects of life.”
Cody’s family surprised her at her meet and greet Thursday evening, driving four hours from Augusta to be there for the big day. Her players also pulled up to show support, even though they already know everything about her.
“It doesn’t feel different because even with Coach Cody she stepped in … and said what we should do should not do on the court,” said freshman Nacardia Robinson.
