(ALBANY, GA) – With Thursday being the last day for early voting in the Georgia Senate runoffs, local Democrats spoke in Downtown Albany this morning, including a special guest.

Former gubernatorial candidate and voting activist, Stacey Abrams spoke about the need for Georgians to get out and vote early, or on Tuesday, January 5th.

Abrams spoke about how voters shouldn’t believe that a runoff election, or their votes, don’t matter.

She also encouraged those who plan to vote by mail to get their ballots posted right away.

“So vote, and then make a plan with your friends and family. If you still have that vote by mail ballot sitting on their coffee table, make them gather it up, do a zoom call and fill it out, then find a drop box or take it to your local county office,” says Abrams

Early voting will close at 5:30 on Thursday evening.
