DOUGLAS, GA – South Georgia State College’s sophomore catcher, Madisyn Schrad, earned the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Conference’s Player of the Week in the first week of March after some stellar performances.
“It has meant that I like my abilities to have that confidence moving forward,” Schrad said.
In six games at the end of February, the sophomore had a .471 batting average, six RBI, four stolen bases, three triples and scored seven runs.
“All the support from my team keeps me going as well,” Schrad said. “Having confidence at the plate, attacking, being aggressive.”
