Rochelle’s 24 hour water boil advisory

Wilcox County town awaits water quality test results before lifting advisory
Boil Water Advisory 3102021

ROCHELLE, GA – Rochelle city officials are alerting residents to a 24 hour water boil advisory, after a water line ruptured Wednesday morning.

Rochelle Mayor Wayne McGuinty says a six inch steel main split at the seam of a tap made years earlier and began leaking more significantly, lowering water pressure system wide.

A local company has since fixed the break but the town awaits water quality test results before lifting the water ban.

Citizens with any concerns should call City Hall with their questions.

Mayor McGuinty hopes the tap water situation will be resolved by the latest noon Thursday.
