Reward escalates in Albany’s Nigel Brown murder
Albany area businesses & commission candidate raise stake for information to over $20k

ALBANY, GA – Albany’s CrimeStoppers is getting help from area businesses as well as a city commission hopeful as the reward for information in the death of Nigel Brown has crested $20,000.
Brown is the 9 year old Albany child who was fatally shot as he slept late Sunday night at his West Gordon Avenue home.
Police believe someone in a passing car fired on the family’s home, striking Brown in the head as he slept in his bed.
Monday, CrimeStoppers put out a $5,000 reward for information in finding Nigel’s killer.
Several Albany businesses did likewise, adding another $5,000 to the reward.
Wednesday morning, Albany City Commission candidate Jalen Johnson says he’ll add another $10.000 to the CrimeStoppers’ offer, making a potential tipster earn over $20,000 for valid information.
