Rashod Bateman returns to Tifton for first ever youth football camp

TIFTON, GA – Baltimore Ravens wide receiver, Rashod Bateman, returned to his old stomping grounds of Tift County High School to host his first ever youth football camp.

The camp saw 160 kids from ages seven to twelve working with Bateman and Blue Devils coaches on the basic fundamentals of football: catching, throwing, tackling, footwork and much more.

They also sprinkled in fun activities such as tug-of-war and one-hand touch football.

It was a great day all around for the campers, and for Bateman, who said he’s grateful to have the resources to be able to host a camp for the youth.

“This camp is just a way to show the kids to keep following their dreams,” Bateman said. “I mean, I definitely always wanted to do it. Growing up how I did and where I’m from, there’s role models that I look up to. I feel like I had those people in my life so I want to be there for [these kids].”
