(ALBANY, GA)- For Easton Glover, saving lives is nothing new in the depths of Phoebe-Putney’s ER.

However, after more than nine years, he was finally given the chance to donate some of his bone marrow to someone who needs it.

Glover tells us, “I thought it was pretty cool actually to get out there and help somebody in general. And just the fact that you could be somebody’s cure in a cancer situation. You can be their lifeline.”

While Easton has been back at work in Phoebe’s ER since Monday, helping save lives locally, after getting the chance to save a life across the globe.

That bone marrow is going to a woman in Europe battling cancer.

As Glover told us, it’s well worth the few days of pain from the donation.

He says, “You go through five to ten days of pain, for somebody’s possible new life. I mean, to me that’s nothing really. So the whole experience of it now is pretty phenomenal, considering I’m that close to somebody’s DNA and they live all the way in Europe.”

With the donation now behind him, if needed, glover is ready to go through the marrow donation process again.

“Absolutely, there is no doubt in my mind. You have a chance of matching with different recipients as well. And you can be the cure for multiple people,” says Glover.
