LEE COUNTY, Ga. – If you voted in the Georgia Senate District 13 special election Tuesday, you got to experience what the brand new voting machines have to offer.

Chris Harvey, State Elections Director for the Georgia’s Secretary of State office, visited the nine voting counties collecting feedback on the new systems.

He says that “the poll workers are always a little nervous the first time they try something … but the feedback has been great.” Harvey says voters reported the new machines as being “easy to use, simple and intuitive.”

He says residents should feel “very confident” using the machines to ensure accurate results.

South Georgia TV’s reporter Brian Roche will be attending a voting machine unveiling in Albany tomorrow to give viewers a first hand look at how to use them.
