(MOULTRIE, GA) – The Moultrie Humane Society has been getting an extra boost from the city over the last couple of months.

The Moultrie newspaper recycling program has been going towards helping the humane society keep many of their pets for adoption clean.

Executive Director, Drew Durham tells us what it means to have this big help from the city.

Durham says, “Between the 14 kennels in our front room and the 13 kennels in the back, and our full population, that’s a lot of newspaper we’re going through. So now instead of looking for newspaper through the public, they actually give it to us through the recycling bins, so it’s one less thing to worry about.”

Durham tells us that Moultrie residents can drop off additional newspapers at the recycling center on First Street Northeast, next door to Moultrie City Hall.
