VALDOSTA, GA- Georgia’s Department of Juvenile Justice is set to celebrate the first year of operations of the Southwest Key’s Evening Reporting Center in Lowndes County.

The community based program is designed to provide supervision and structured activities for youth who may be at risk of further involvement in the juvenile justice system.

The anniversary celebration is scheduled for Monday morning, November 8th at 11:30 at 118 West Hill Avenue in Valdosta.

Speakers include DJJ Commissioner Tyrone Oliver as well as Lowndes County Juvenile Court Judge James F. Council.

The Southwest Keys/DJJ Evening Reporting Center is an evidence-based program to reduce youth recidivism rates and enrollees can only be referred by the DJJ.
