Local restaurant helping out hospital staff

(ALBANY, GA) — An Albany restaurant is working with the community to do their part to help Phoebe-Putney staff during the pandemic.

El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant is partnering with Phoebe to help feed staff working around the clock in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

This week, the restaurant was able to send more than 200 plates to hospital staff.

Cook Jose Moreno told us over the phone, “I mean, i’m glad that we’re able to help, man. I don’t want to say it’s just the restaurant helping, it’s the community. It’s everyone who’s helping. We’re just providing the food, they’re the one’s who are actually paying for it. So we might just be the middle man, but i’m proud the help Phoebe…”
