Local chamber of commerce warns about stimulus scams
(SYLVESTER, GA)- Locally, chambers of commerce are also telling people to keep an eye out on suspicious links when applying for the stimulus loan.
Karen Rackely with the Worth County Economic Development Authority wants people to apply for the economic disaster loan through the Small Business Administration’s website, which can be accessed through any chamber of commerce site.
Rackley says that if you can’t seem to get onto the proper small business administration website, to find other options to apply for the loan.
Rackley told us over the phone, “Make sure they go to their local chamber’s local website, and that their chamber is offering. Most chambers offer that COVID-19 tab, if they don’t go to a neighboring chamber’s site.”
