ALBANY, Ga. – Some schools in Southwest Georgia are set to open for in-person instruction this fall. And with that will come the need for school supplies.

To help families, students and teachers, State Farm agent Kent Nance in Albany is doing a virtual back-to-school drive from July 7 to July 24, 2020.

“In previous years, we’ve had lines around the building of kids waiting to get supplies,” says Nance.

Nance has held a back-to-school drive for the past five years and he says around 400 kids would get affordable supplies through the effort.

Line Waiting For Supplies

This year, due to COVID-19 the event is going virtual.

Anyone in the community will be able to purchase affordable back-to-school student and teacher school supply kits online starting at $5.00 each to donate to needy children and families at Caring for the Community.
