Lee County set to receive more PPE

LEESBURG, Ga. – Unlike much of the state, the number of Lee County COVID-19 cases is actually trending downward. The area has had a total of 551 covid cases and sees anywhere from 5-7 new cases a day.
And to keep transmission of the virus low, Commissioners announced that they’ve approved the purchase of additional PPE and barriers to help keep residents and county employees safe.
“The Georgia Cares Act gave us an allotment of $413,000 for personal protective equipment such as face masks, cleaning solutions and protective measures for the county to stay safe from COVID-19,” says EMS Director Coleman Williams.
