(LEESBURG, GA)- The Lee County Commission is working on bringing another court to the county.

Commissioners are discussing the possibility of having a State Court implemented in the county.

Currently, Lee County does not have a State Court.

County Commission Chairman, Billy Mathis says that now is the appropriate time to consider the addition of a state court because of the growth in the county.

“We just, as a county commission always try to do what we think is right for the county. We’ve talked about for a couple of years. As you know, Lee County has grown over the last couple of years and it’s something we’re considering,” says Mathis.

Currently, Lee County has a Probate, Magistrate, and Superior Court.
