Lee County announces emergency precinct change

LEESBURG, Ga. — According to a posting on the Lee County Public Notice site, Precinct 8 has been moved to the T. Page Tharp Building at 102 Starksville Avenue North in Leesburg.

The release said in part, “Due to an emergency situation, and for the protection and safety of our voters and workers, it is necessary to move Precinct 8…This move is made on December 23, 2020, in compliance with O.C.G.A. 21-2-265.”

While the nature of the emergency situation was not listed, the posting encouraged anyone wishing more information to contact the Elections Office at 229-759-6002.
