Last minute shoppers share their concerns on Christmas Eve
(ALBANY, GA) – Parking lots were packed Thursday as people from across the area are getting their last minute Christmas shopping taken care of.
For one Dooly County man, Quentin Felton says he’s treasuring this Christmas even more.
“I’m just looking for something for my kids that they can enjoy. I’m all about family orientation. And I want my kids to understand that Christmas isn’t just about giving…,” says Felton.
Plenty of shoppers where out to get some last minute decorations for home, while others were out for a final chance at some of the hot ticket items this year.
But for others, like Felton, this year needed to be about a little bit more.
He says “It’s about love, it’s about cherishing the moments we have with loved ones. So i’m buying them some games so they can learn how to share with family and friends.”
It’s been a holiday season unlike any other, but for the shoppers we spoke to, despite the pandemic, despite the weather, they’re staying in high spirits.
“It’s been pretty crazy. I hope that even with the bad weather, I hope that everyone can get their last minute shopping in without getting hurt, getting in any arguments or a fight…,” says Aaron Selman of Albany.
While Julie Dietzel of Sylvester tells us, “It has not stopped anybody, and it has not stopped us. We’re gonna do what we’ve gotta do.”
