Indianapolis Colts star, Grover Stewart, returns to Camilla
CAMILLA, GA – Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle, Grover Stewart, came back to his stomping grounds over the weekend where he hosted his third annual youth football camp at Mitchell County High School.
“Man, it feels great, man, to come out here,” Stewart said. “To see the kids out here having fun, smiling, seeing the parents in the stands, cheering the kids on, it feels great, man.”
Just like the other two times he came back, he didn’t come alone. This year he brought his teammates Shaq Leonard, Chris Milton, and DeForest Buckner to the party.
“Me and Grover are like brothers,” Buckner said. “Being able to come out here and come back to the high school that he grew up going to and giving back to his community [is special].”
Over 80 kids showed up to the camp to work with the Colts stars and Mitchell County coaches on the fundamentals of football.
But it wasn’t just a camp.
Camilla’s Mayor, Kevin Owens, let it be known that July 20 was also Grover Stewart Day.
