Incumbent Summers wins Republican ballot

(CORDELE, GA) – Carden Summers will represent the republicans on the November ballot for the 13th District of the Georgia Senate.

In a close race, Summers received more than 52% of the votes with 4576 casting their votes for the Crisp County incumbent, with Tift County candidate, Spud Bowen receiving 4085 votes.

Summers won a special election in March, 2020 to finish out the term of Senator Greg Kirk, who passed away in December, 2019.
