Incoming beds for Phoebe’s COVID-19 patients
ALBANY, Ga. – Phoebe North is expecting 12 additional ICU beds and 15 general medical beds by next week.
Dr. Steven kitchen, chief medical officer for Phoebe, says he hopes the beds will go unoccupied but that being prepared for additional COVID-19 patients is a top priority.
He says, “We will continue to have absolute resolve to basically commit to all the resources, all the man power, all the supplies and so forth that it will take to continue to meet the needs of our community.”
This is the first of four planned expansions.
