These volunteers are saving electronics from the trash, one fix at a time

An estimated 62 million tonnes of electronics were discarded globally in 2022, and that figure is expected to reach 82 million tonnes by 2030. Often items destined for the trash can be repaired with the right knowledge and tools — and around the world, community groups are championing this ethos.
