RAW: GERMANY: MERKEL REACTS TO TALIBAN TAKEOVER

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has described the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan as “bitter, dramatic and terrible,” calling on the international community to increase aid to Afghanistan’s neighbouring countries to prevent Afghan asylum seekers from travelling onwards to Europe.
