Michael Moore calls El-Sayed the ‘Midwest’s Mamdani moment’

Filmmaker Michael Moore believes progressive candidate Abdul el-Sayed is what Michigan needs as a leader in Congress. El-Sayed holds a narrow lead over Congresswoman Haley Stevens in the Democratic Senate primary. Moore says Michigan is ready for a progressive who can bring change and that traditional democrats were “unable to stop Trump twice.” On the heels of several progressive wins in key races, Moore told Laura he’s “very optimistic about what’s going on.”
