It’s a leading cause of serious long-term disability in the U.S. Every year, more than 795,000 Americans have a stroke. Immediate medical attention not only can mean the difference between life and death, but it also allows for treatment that can stop blood clots and lessen stroke damage. However, a new study suggests some patients are missing out on this medical care.
