HEALTH MINUTE: LESSER-KNOWN BREAST CANCER TYPE ON THE RISE

Continuing coverage now of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. An American Cancer Society report released today says an estimated 33,600 women will be diagnosed with lobular breast cancer this year. Despite the prevalence of this subtype of breast cancer, researchers say it remains understudied. In today’s Health Minute, Mandy Gaither talks to the report’s senior author about the signs of this lesser-known disease and how those symptoms are different from other types of breast cancer.
