Every year, unintentional carbon monoxide poisoning sends more than 100,000 Americans to the emergency room, hospitalizes more than 14,000 patients & kills more than 400 people, according to the CDC. This time of year, this poisonous gas can be particularly dangerous, as fumes are produced in several household items that can keep a family warm.
