How’s your zip code’s 2020 Census response rate? Check it out here

ALBANY, Ga. – Commissioners from the East and South side of Albany gathered this morning to encourage people from their wards to complete their Census.
These regions of the city are reporting lower response rates than other areas in Dougherty County.
Commissioner Jon Howard says less than 50% of the households in his ward have responded to the questionnaire and he thinks that’s because the population in his district is hard to reach.
“The reason East Albany is so hard to count because we have a high level of poverty in that area that I represent and we have a lot of individuals that probably stay in trailers, mobile homes and apartment units and they’re hard to count because they’re making transitions from one place to another.”
Commissioner Howard says this year, the census should be as easy as ever to fill out as a result of it being available to complete online.
