Free junk and yard debris pick-up available as ‘Operation Clean Sweep’ continues

ALBANY, Ga. – Operation Clean Sweep is moving to its second area in South Albany. On Thursday, December 3 at 1:00 p.m., city crews will start working in the Waddell Avenue and Colquitt Avenue neighborhoods. Concrete Enterprise is joining forces to provide FREE junk and yard debris pick-up in the targeted area only on this day.
The purpose of the initiative is to improve the quality of life for residents, businesses, and visitors through heightening clean-up and beautification efforts across the City one neighborhood at a time.
Departments have combined resources to maintain public spaces better and increase responsiveness to areas in need of focused attention. Services under Operation Clean Sweep include cleaning up litter, maintaining right-of-way areas, repairing alleys, cleaning catch basins, and other services.
