Free educational health discussion hosted by SOWEGA Council on Aging

ALBANY, Ga. – The SOWEGA Council on Aging is hosting an educational event next Friday.

Pelvic Floor Disorders will be the topic of discussion. Attendees will hear about how to look for signs, symptoms and treatment options.

The session will include expert advice and any questions will be addressed by a physician.

ADRC Program Manager, Melissa Garrett says, “It is an open space for people to come in and talk to a renowned physician about a very private topic.”

Garrett says that openly discussing the topic might worry people and that “if you don’t want to ask publicly, the physician will be here to take questions privately as well.”

Garrett hopes that more people will register to this event.

“If you don’t want to pay money to go to your physician to ask, this is a free event where we will sweeten you with some sweet treats first.”
