Central Montgomery County in central Georgia... * Until 1030 PM EST Wednesday. * At 428 PM EST, emergency management reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Reports have been received on multiple roadways closed and some homes threatened. A farm pond dam was breached on the north side of Cordele that could impact a portion of Interstate 75. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. * Some locations that will experience flooding include... Cordele, McRae, Lyons, Abbeville, Alamo, Mount Vernon, Vidalia, Helena, Lumber City, Rochelle, Glenwood, Milan, Uvalda, Arabi, Pineview, Ailey, Rhine, Scotland, Chauncey and Higgston. Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches are possible in the warned area.
