Fitzgerald-Ben Hill Arts Council to host free plein air painting and music event March 14
FITZGERALD, Ga. — Art, music, and creativity will take center stage this weekend during a free community event in Fitzgerald.
The Fitzgerald-Ben Hill Arts Council is hosting “Just Plein Fun: Plein Air Painting & Music Under the Stars” on Saturday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Carnegie Center courtyard.
The event will feature a live plein air painting demonstration by artist Cris Lawson, giving attendees the chance to watch the creative process unfold in real time. Guests can also enjoy live music and an open mic featuring local talent.
Organizers say the evening will include hands-on art activities such as painting, crochet, and other creative projects, with free plein air painting supplies available for those who want to join in.
Food and drinks will also be available for purchase from Durden’s BBQ Truck and G&B Mixes, which will be serving specialty dirty sodas and flavored drinks.
The event is free and open to the public, and organizers encourage residents to bring friends and enjoy a night of art and entertainment under the stars.
