First responders face off at Great American Cook-Off in Valdosta March 21

VALDOSTA, Ga. – A little friendly competition is heating up in Valdosta this weekend! The Great American Cook-Off is set for Saturday, March 21, at 11 a.m. at Seasons Miller Hardware, 3137 North Oak Street Extension.

The highlight of the event is the “Battle of the First Responders,” where local teams will put their grilling skills to the test for a chance to win a brand-new Traeger grill. While the competition sizzles, attendees can enjoy a $5 lunch featuring a sausage dog, chips, a drink, and a cookie—perfect for cheering on your favorite team.

All proceeds from the cook-off benefit the Boys & Girls Club of South Georgia, supporting programs and opportunities for local kids.
