PLAINS, GA – President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are set to meet with former president Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter Thursday in the Carter’s hometown of Plains.

The First Couple’s visit to Georgia will mark the 100th day of the Biden presidency.

It had been previously announced from the White House that the Bidens would attend a car rally in Atlanta but those plans have apparently changed.

Details about Thursday’s presidential visit remain vague, but the White House Communications Staff has told South Georgia Television News that due to the pandemic, coverage of the visit will be handled strictly by the White House pool and that local reporters will not be credentialed.

It’s worth noting that the Carters were unable to attend January’s inauguration because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
