Fatal stabbing suspect jailed

51 year old Ricardo Lozano arrested at scene

CORDELE, GA – One man is dead, another charged with his murder after a dispute turned deadly Monday afternoon in Cordele.

Police say they were called to the 700 block of Schley Avenue a little after 4pm where they found 53 year old Richard Douglas King bleeding from a knife wound in front of a residence.

King was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment where he later died.

Police took 51 year old Ricardo Lozano into custody.

Lozano lived across the street from where King was found wounded.

At last report, Lozano remained jailed in the Crisp County Detention Center.

As of press time, Cordele Police have yet to formally charge Lozano.

The GBI is assisting in the investigation.
