Fatal mobile home fire in Sylvester
Deceased identified as 57 year old Charles Stacy Watson

SYLVESTER, GA – Georgia’s Insurance and Fire Safety Commissioner John King says a 57 year old Sylvester man died Wednesday after an early morning fire broke out at a mobile home.
Investigators say they arrived to the Youngblood Road residence and found heavy smoke and heat damage throughout the structure.
The victim has been identified as 57 year old Charles Stacy Watson.
King says the deceased’s body was found in a bedroom and that cigarette butts found close to a mattress may have ignited the fire.
Commissioner King notes there were no smoke detectors found at the scene of the state’s 74th death so far this year.
