Egler wins Democratic ballot for state senate

(LEESBURG, GA) – Mary Egler of Leesburg will represent the Democratic Party on the November ballot for the 13th District of the Georgia State Senate.

Egler received more than 57% of the vote with 1,712 people in the 13th District choosing Egler, and 1,247 people casting their vote for Ruenett Melton of Tifton.

Egler was previously on the ballot for the Special Election to fill the vacant senate seat earlier this year.
