Duke acquitted of murder; guilty of concealment
An Irwin County jury finds Ryan Duke not guilty of murdering former beauty queen Tara Grinstead
OCILLA, GA – An Irwin County jury has found accused murderer Ryan Duke not guilty of killing former beauty queen Tara Grinstead, but guilty of concealing her 2005 death.
Friday morning, after 8 hours of deliberations, the jury returned with the following verdicts, count-by-count:
- Count 1: Malice murder NOT GUILTY
- Count 2: Felony murder NOT GUILTY
- Count 3: Murder NOT GUILTY
- Count 4: Aggravated assault NOT GUILTY
- Count 5: Burglary NOT GUILTY
- Count 6: Concealing the death of another GUILTY
