Democratic candidate, Jon Ossoff makes campaign stop in Albany
(ALBANY, GA) – Dozens of cars packed the parking lot of the Albany Civic Center late Thursday afternoon as S.S. Senate candidate, Jon Ossoff made a campaign stop in the Good Life City ahead of the January 5th runoff election.
“What’s happening in Georgia right now is historic. Think about how far we’ve come Georgia. Think about how far we’ve come in the American South. Georgia is the most competitive battleground state in the country,” said Ossoff to the crowd in their cars.
Much like his opponent, Senator David Perdue, Ossoff made one last push during the early voting period for the runoff election.
Much like his opponent, Ossoff is encouraging people to get out and vote, either early or on the 5th.
He said, “The ballot box, Albany, is where we demand progress, and hold our leaders accountable. Say it with me Albany, say vote!”
As the race runoff race for the U.S. Senate seats continue to heat up, the Democratic challenger wanted one more thing from supporters to continue to mobilize like the lead up to the November elections.
“Albany are you ready to fight for justice? Are you ready to vote? Are you ready to organize, and mobilize, and knock on doors and make phone calls like we have never done before? For health, and jobs, and justice, for the people,” said Ossoff.
