Dawson police investigating weekend death

(DAWSON, GA) – Dawson Police say they responded to a call at the Deluxe Inn on Main Street just before 1 A.M. Saturday morning.

It was there officers say they discovered a 17 year old girl dead, and that homicide has not been ruled out.

Police are being extremely tight-lipped on the case, revealing few if any details.

Beyond Dawson PD, we also reached out to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, who is handling the case as well as the owner of the Deluxe Inn.

All three have declined to comment at this time.
