Crisp Regional adopts new Covid-19 protocols again

Delta variant is showing up in distressing numbers around South Georgia
April Dukes Interview

CORDELE, GA – Crisp Regional Hospital is once again adopting new procedures for both visitors and patients in light of the new surge of Covid-19 cases, blamed on the Delta Variant.

Crisp Regional’s Director of Nursing April Dukes says access to the hospital will be limited to only the emergency room and outpatient services and not the main lobby entrance.

Also, visitors will be required to mask and have their temperature taken before allowed access to patients.

Dukes also says that only one visitor will be allowed for any one patient on any day.

The hope is to limit foot traffic inside and outside of the hospital to mitigate any chance of spreading the coronavirus.

Dukes stresses the need for anyone to vaccinate, noting the hospital’s Covid caseload is back in the double digits and the infection track she’s monitoring suggests another uptick of the virus is imminent, if not already upon us.
