CPD investigating Christmas Eve robbery
CORDELE, Ga. – According to a press release from the Cordele Police Department, at around 4:40 a.m. Cordele Officers responded to an ATM alarm at Regions Bank, 1216 East 16th Avenue.
Officers found where the ATM machine had been severely damaged and unknown items were taken, and were of unknown value at this time.
A short while later a white Ford F-550 flatbed pickup was located abandoned in the area of Heritage Oak Apartments behind Regions Bank. This truck was believed to be involved in the burglary. This F-550 was found to have been reported stolen out of Peach County, Georgia on December 23 .
The department is still in the early stages of investigation and ask that anyone with information about the truck in question or the burglary of the ATM machine is asked to contact the Cordele Police Department at 229.276.2921.
