Cordele resident celebrates her 95th with a celebration

CORDELE, Ga. — If there is one thing these difficult times have taught us, it is to value the closeness of friends and family. A Cordele family did just that last week.

Mrs. Mae Francis Mainer is a lifelong resident of Cordele and Crisp County, and that’s no short time! She celebrated her 95th birthday on October 22. Perched on a white throne-like chair, she watched as her family celebrated her longevity and the legacy of a life well-lived.

Our own Rick Smarr was lucky enough to snag an invitation to this momentous occasion, and he and Mrs. Mainer had a nice little chat.
