Cordele police investigating two Tuesday shootings

CORDELE, Ga. – Cordele police are investigating two separate Tuesday afternoon shootings.

Cordele police are investigating the shooting injury of a 13-year-old Tuesday afternoon in the 300 block of West 14th Avenue.

At 2:44 p.m. police were called to the area for the shooting. The injured teen was taken to Crisp Regional Hospital. A 27-year-old man has been arrested in the incident.

No other information is being released as of Wednesday morning.

A little over an hour later, police responded to the 600 block of West 23rd Avenue to a second shooting that injured a  26-year-old man who was treated at Crisp Regional Hospital.

Police have not yet identified a suspect.
